SMTP PMXMailer Update for Postmaster!

Once you download PMXMailer from us, unzip the PMXMailer folder or copy & paste it into your PostmasterExpress folder, where Postmaster is installed: (\program files\postmasterexpress OR \program files(x86)\postmasterexpress).

PMXMailer is a lightweight portable utility so there is NO installation needed.

NOTE: This update is still being developed and updated. It works 100% on all Windows platforms with at least Microsoft .NET Framework 4.




The first time you open PMXMailer click on settings.

Step 1) The default PMXMailer password is PMXMailer. Be sure to click on the change password link and change it to any password you want. If you forget it, you can reset it to PMXMailer at any time. Important: These are the user name and password to use in your page one of your Postmaster software settings page.

Step 2) Goto Postmaster
settings from the Main Menu and type these in under:
Outgoing Mail Server: localhost
Check the box: Yes my outgoing mail server requires authentication.

Type in the user name and password from step 1 above. Click Next, Next, Yes.

NOTE: This is where you can decide if you want PMXMailer to start with windows. You can also access your mailqueue folder (where email goes as it's prepared to send on to your ISP's mailserver) and view your SMTP log files if you choose to turn those on.

Step 3) These are the settings for the Outgoing Email Server that you use to send email. If you're not sure about any of these parameters, you'll need to ask your ISP (Internet Service Provider) or your Web host. SSL/TLS security normally uses Port 465 that the program defaults to and STARTTLS defaults to Port 587, but can be changed.

Step 4) This is the Message Throttling setting and is not required to use. If you do want to or are required to send only a certain amount of email over a certain timeframe this feature allows YOU to set it up anyway you want! If your ISP limits you to so many email sent per hour or 24 hour period, or if you use Gmail's servers. You can limit to the minute how fast and how much email you send per any number of minutes or per any number of hours!

If Your Postmaster Is Not Sending Email...

PMXMailer is a separate lightweight utility and is also portable! This means it does not get installed and runs independent. So, if you're not sure whether it's running you can run the Task Manager and look under 'processes' tab to see if PMXMailer is running. If not, go to your PMXMailer folder inside the PostmasterExpress Folder and run it. Also you can have it run automatically when you start Windows.

1) To know if PMXMailer is running, open your Task Manager to see or attempt to send your email from Postmaster. If you get error an message like this "10061 The requested connection has been refused by the remote host" it's not running.

2) All you need to do is click the STOP SENDING button to the left, and once you see it stop, close the PE Mailer (like you should always do when it's done sending) and then go to your PostmasterExpress folder and double-click the PMXMailer.exe file, to run it. If you copied it into your
PostmasterExpress folder it's probably here: c:\program files(x86)\postmasterexpress.

3) Finally, go back to Postmaster \ Tools \ Generate&Send and send your email. Because your email was never sent, all your email messages will still be in the 'outbox' untouched.


TIP 1: To make PMXMailer easy to access, right click on it and PIN it to your Taskbar or Start Menu and/or create a shortcut and put it somewhere handy for you. You should do the same with Postmaster.

TIP 2: If you still have trouble sending email, reboot your computer, and try sending your email from Postmaster again.
